Garnet grit is a naturally inert mineral with a sharp, angular, 12-sided crystal, with a hardness of between 7.5 and 8.5 on the Mohs scale. In terms of appearance and source, garnet grit is divided into sea/pink garnet grit and rock/reb garnet grit. Rock/pink garnet has edgy shapes, and sea/red garnet has a round shape. Garnet grit crystal’s physical properties make it a superior abrasive, ideal for most industrial applications (garnet blasting media, garnet filter media, waterjet cutting media).
